As a designer, understanding the requirements is always the most important. 

The client needs a literary vintage tote bag featuring a prominent logo. The logo name is "Spring Flowers", and the slogan is "A Visual Feast of Spring" . The design should focus on optimized floral patterns, presenting an overall fashionable, retro, and artistic style with an Eastern charm.

Step 1: Understand the Market, Seek Inspiration, and Match the Requirements.

Before designing, the first step is to seek inspiration and understand how tote bags are designed in the market, especially from leading fashion brands or unique niche brands with distinct styles. 

Fortunately, I found a few benchmark products that my client likes.

  • Prada Galleria printed Saffiano leather bag

The sophisticated and timeless Prada Galleria bag blends industrial precision and the refined accuracy of craftsmanship in a design that celebrates the historic shop opened in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II of Milan in 1913. Consisting of more than 80 separate pieces assembled by hand, the style reveals a versatile and universal nature that makes it the perfect canvas for always new interpretations. The accessory, characterized by the iconic three pockets, features the distinctive crosshatch pattern with waxed finish of Saffiano leather, animated by an elegant floral print in vibrant colors.

  • GG Supreme Monogram Flora Web GG Small Ophidia Dome Shoulder Bag White

This is the GUCCI GG Supreme Monogram Flora Web GG Small Ophidia Dome Shoulder Bag in White. This stunning shoulder bag is crafted of Gucci GG monogram coated canvas, with a vibrantly colored floral overlay. The bag features white leather trim, an adjustable leather shoulder strap with gold hardware, and a gold GG logo zipper pull that opens to a beige microfiber interior with patch pockets.

  • Hermès Sursoie To Go pouch

In addition to leather, the Silk’In line of leather goods showcases silk in all its splendor. Printed, randomly cut or laminated, it adorns the inside of coin purses, wallets and cardholders as a concealed lining. The color and motifs unexpectedly appear when it is opened, while each season’s creations are based on designs from the world of silk.

Step 2: Find the Appropriate Model.

Visit Pacdora and search for “bag” to find some suitable models for designing tote bag, which will facilitate the subsequent presentation of design effects.

Step 3: Use AI Tools to Find Design Inspiration.

In the AI era, we should definitely leverage AI to quickly find design inspiration or ideas, as this is key to efficient design. Based on the client’s requirements, by inputting relevant prompts, you can obtain multiple design inspiration options within seconds. 

For this step, you just need to click on Packify, an AI packaging design tool, and have a conversation with it to easily get the solutions you desire.

  • Input Requirement One
The design features a simple canvas bag shape, with a logo and slogan inspired by luxury brand typography and advertising. The logo name is "Spring Flowers," primarily using an elegant vintage font, while the slogan reads "A Visual Feast of Spring" in a more conventional font. Step 4: Choose Model and Inspiration Option, Search for Matching Materials, and Begin the Design.

I usually search for graphic elements on design websites, then purchase them from corresponding paid sites. Or I create illustrations myself based on that style or hire a professional illustrator with a similar style. Since we are currently in the proposal stage, I first gathered some pictures and started laying them out.

Step 5: Create 3D Renderings for Proposal Presentation.

After designing the layout in software, export the design artwork and upload it to Pacdora.

Click on “3D Design,” and you can begin rendering. In the 3D interface, you can either create your own scene or use templates. By adjusting some element colors, you can quickly complete some 3D scenes.

Here are a few renderings I created in just three minutes using the 3D scene.

Creating 3D scenes requires a certain level of design skill, such as color adjustment and positioning. For many users, AI tools Photoshoot are much more convenient. These tools can truly allow anyone with internet access to easily produce high-quality renderings without extensive design expertise.

What you need is only to select your preferred style and click “Regenerate.” In just a few seconds, you can receive multiple rendering options. Within 5 minutes, I received the following beautiful images, which I feel are even better than the results from the 3D tool. They are very suitable for showcasing in real-world scenarios and far exceeded my expectations.
